Hand-signed, numbered prints from a one-person studio. Browse the art on its own terms and have it shipped to your door.
I work in two hands — colored pencil for the slow, built-up light, and oil for the weather and the open air. Each image is released as a small, hand-signed print run, never more than twenty.
Stu·Art is a one-person studio. When a piece is ready I photograph it, watermark the web image, and open a limited print run — at most twenty prints, each signed and numbered (3 / 20, 4 / 20, and so on). When the run closes, that’s the end of it.
Layered, deliberate, close-up work — quiet interiors and still water, built up stroke by stroke.
Looser and more atmospheric — fields, harbors, and the upper-Midwest light I grew up under.
Prints are produced and shipped within 5–7 business days of your order.
Each print travels flat in a protective box, fully insured to your door.
Every print is hand-signed on the front and numbered out of its run on the back.

This studio is a one-person operation. These policies are written in plain language to explain exactly how your information is handled and what you can expect when you buy a print. They are provided for transparency. By checking the box at checkout and placing an order you agree to the privacy statement, terms and conditions, artwork and copyright, data usage and storage, and the returns and damage policy.
When you place an order, the studio collects only what it needs to fulfill it: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address. This information is used solely to process your order, ship your print, and contact you if there is a question about your purchase.
Your information is never made public. It is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. It is only shared with the specific services required to complete your sale: PayPal, to process your payment, and the shipping carrier, to deliver your print. Nothing more.
Order records — including your contact and shipping details — are kept privately by the studio and are never published to this website or included in any public file.
By placing an order you agree to these terms. Prints are sold as limited, hand-signed, numbered editions. Each edition is capped, and once a run is sold out it is closed.
Prints are made to order. Please allow 5–7 business days for production before shipping. Prices are listed in US dollars and are shown at checkout along with any applicable sales tax and shipping.
The studio reserves the right to cancel and fully refund an order if a piece becomes unavailable or if an error occurs in pricing or listing.
When you purchase a print, you own that physical print. You do not acquire any rights to the underlying artwork itself.
All artwork remains the exclusive intellectual property of the artist. Copyright is retained by the studio. Purchasing a print does not grant permission to reproduce, copy, scan, photograph for redistribution, digitize, print additional copies, create derivative works, or resell the image commercially. The print is for personal enjoyment and display.
Images on this website are watermarked and provided for browsing only. Reproduction of any image, watermarked or not, is not permitted.
The studio keeps order records to fulfill purchases, provide support, and maintain accurate sales records for tax and bookkeeping. Payment is handled entirely by PayPal — the studio never sees or stores your card or bank details.
Your order information is retained only as long as needed for fulfillment, support, and legal or tax record-keeping. You may contact the studio at any time to ask what information is held about you.
Because every print is made to order, the studio generally does not accept returns for change of mind. Please review your selection and edition before purchasing.
If your print arrives damaged in transit, contact the studio within 14 days of delivery with photographs of the damage and the packaging, and a replacement or refund will be arranged. Every print is shipped insured for this reason.
A note on color: prints are reproductions of original colored-pencil and oil works. Screens vary, and colors may differ slightly between what you see online and the finished print. Slight variation is a normal characteristic of fine-art reproduction and is not considered a defect.
For any question about your order, your privacy, or these policies, contact the studio at the email on your order confirmation.
Thank you for choosing Stu·Art Studio.
